We write the software. You get a license and use it. We sell licenses to other people too. But don't be offended–this way we have an incentive to develop something useful. We have a reason to offer ongoing (free!) support. We don't charge by the hour, we don't deliver a "solution" that doesn't quite work and walk away, and we don't offer excuses. Because they don't put money in our pockets either.
